yay^^

My dad got married on Friday! He's been with my step mom, as i can properly
call her now, for at least 20 years! They married in the Kilkenny Riverside
Hotel ( i think thats what its called)

The ceremony was amazing and in the true Phil Cosgrave fashion... he was late
for his own wedding XP to which everyone applauded when he strolls in with a giant
grin on his face! Donna, my step mom, who is always cool, calm and quiet (except when
it comes to delivering a devastating deadly and witty comment XP) almost started crying when she got to the entrance of her bridal walk through. So cute.

Donna's dress was beautiful! white of course, trailing lightly at the back. The back of the dress was open with crisscross material over. I'll post up some pics of it later and the cake which my awesome aunty Carol made! Dad's outfit was fab too, my dad cleans up well if i do say so myself XP and my brothers Gary, who was best man, and Jake were dressed in matching suits. T_T adorable is too weak a word!

everyone looked amazing!

I was dressed like a girl! and i didnt even wear tights! shocking I know^^ tan wipe
legs and everything! granted I borrowed one of my moms dresses but jesus... she is so fashion conscious that I was torn on which one to wear... she's into designer things... I am not XP I even tried my hand at heels... even the ones she dubbed as 'low and easy to walk in'

all lies i tell you! So I wore gladiator sandals which are awesome. Dinner was gorgious... its was a plate of art! well, the beef one more so then mine so i took pics of the food too! but man was it posh! that hotel is beautiful through and through. The staff were so nice, only had to remind them of my drinks order a couple of times XP

I kept having to dash back and forth to get things ready for the convention so I was a busy bunny! but i made sure to hang out with my cousins, both regulars and the ones who travelled from England since i dont get to see them all too often. I love my bug giant family!

But.... I had to leave the festivities slightly earlier then the rest of them... 2.15 later after an hour of trying to locate a key to someones room to retrieve my bag T_T I finally made it to bed! and then wake up at 6.20 to get the 7 am train to Dublin to meet and

for both train journeys I continued making stuff, bookmarks mainly. Julie was also in the same boat so we made stuff as fast as our fingers would let us!

We finally made it and Diarmid, really awesome guy >.< *waves* picked us up and brought us to the con at around 1pm. I met some brilliant people! artists and con goers alike! I got lots of contact details so im gonna have to drop by them and give them virtual bear hugs! I also got my handmade mario star bracelets i had been wanting sine i saw them at the con so yay^^

awesome peeps i met include the fab artists who we joined in Artists Alley and Tri! i will find your devarts! Cathy gave me luvs and prints to which are going on my wall! and i got a winry figure off Tri >.< so awesome! thank you guys so much for being who you are!

And guess what... I won the art competition in the catagory of 'Manga style'... I cant believe it! I'd entered under the catagories of CG and Traditional but hey, im not complaining XP I was just even more surprised! won the CG for the second time year in a row! go tell her how awesome she is!

Granted, with every event... there will be douchebags... including the person who submitted artwork completly ripped off from someone here on devart! I forgot to say it to the organizors but it was a poorly drawn piece any way XP
and then the people who came by just to verbally rip on art work. I wasnt there for it but was told by Julie who defended my honors! :huggles:

We didnt get home till monday since the last train was at 7pm. So we got to town, myself and Julie dropped our bags off at the internet cafe beside the the Ha'enny bridge and went off to my nans, saying by byes to eno who was knackered XP busy weekend I tells ya!

after hangin bout for a bit in nans having life saving tea and a chat we went back in to see about the painting the shutters on one of my fav clothe stores in town. We didnt have to do it yesterday so were headin in later to do it. So we hung about for bit and then went to retrieve our bags...

only to discover that they lost one of Julies bags!it didnt have anything of value to a regular thief but... it was valuable to the likes of us! worth over 500 big ones anyway >.< including her cosplay outfit! the girl behind the counter was less then helpful! kept saying 'i cant remember, such a busy day'... thats crap hun. she even admitted we were the only two customers she'd had all day so surely she should remember... since she also claims she never left the counter in all the time we were gone. and it looked like she tried to scribble out '2 bags' and replace it with one to cover her tracks.

I called the police over to report it any way. So that event added to the dampner of the end of the weekend >.>

Its all in the hands of the police now, I hope they can find the bag or at least get the store to reimburse Julie.

Let this be a warning to you all in Dublin! DO NOT leave your belongings with these people! Its the Internet and Call Shop on Wellington Quay.
